In 1995, after the Soviet Union’s collapse, a simple question moved a few faithful believers: how do we bring deep, trustworthy biblical teaching to people who may never set foot in a seminary?

What began as a small residential Bible school in Kursk, Russia, grew into something far greater. From the start, TVSEMINARY held that education should not be locked behind walls, borders, or finances, but released freely for the strengthening of the Church.

Today TVSEMINARY is one of the most influential theological education platforms in the post‑Soviet world, reaching pastors, leaders, and believers where they serve—week by week. In recent years our lectures have reached millions and are freely accessible well beyond the region where we began.

We know-God’s work was never meant to stop at one language. Building on decades of impact in Russia, TVSEMINARY is now taking that same depth of teaching to the nations. In 2025 alone, more than 400 hours of theological content were translated and localized into Spanish, Chinese, French, Turkish, Hindi, and Turkmen. Each translation represents pastors equipped, churches strengthened, and believers grounded in truth.

GUEST SPEAKER
Vitaly Petrov, President of TVSEMINARY

Vitaly, who was born in 1967 in the Former Soviet Union, has a family history deeply affected by their Christian faith. He hails from a lineage where four of his grandparents were sent to the GULAG prison, with some sacrificing their lives for their beliefs. Vitaly's father, amidst the communist rule, emerged as a prominent Russian Protestant Evangelical leader.
 
During the 1990s, Vitaly dedicated several years as an ordained pastor at the Moscow Bible Church. Subsequently, in 2003, he completed his Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago and continued his teaching work in Russia.

Since 2006, Vitaly has been the president of Trinity Video Seminary (TVSEMINARY) in Russia, where he is currently serving. Vitaly loves the Lord and is highly devoted to this global Christian Education ministry.

TODAY

The college has evolved into an online seminary, catering to more than 8500 international students. TVS video courses are currently being used by Christian institutions, schools, and individuals across the Former Soviet Union, Eurasia, and 150 other countries.
